Pennine Way Part 1
I had been walking in the U.K. for about a month before starting the Pennine Way in 2019, and even that did not prepare me fully for what was to come, as I had a pretty rough fourth day physically. I spent 16 days in total on the Pennine Way, but two half days of those were spent getting to and from Reeth midway through the Pennine Way, so technically I walked it in 15 (although there were a few other days in there where I covered the day's distance in half the day).
You can read about any of the days on the first half of my Pennine Way walk by clicking on any of the links below, or just start with the first one and go from there.
Day 1 Edale to Padfield: where I discover the bleakness of the Pennine Way
Day 2 Padfield to Todmorden: where my 35km walk turned into a 45km one
Day 3 Todmorden to Haworth: where I finally find Wuthering Heights
Day 4 Haworth to Malham: where I nearly die from heat exhaustion (again)
Day 5 Malham to Horton-in-Ribblesdale: where I find a solution to heat exhaustion
Day 6 Horton-in-Ribblesdale to Hardraw: where a 74-year-old woman beats me
Day 7 Hardraw to Reeth: where I leave the Pennine Way for a few days
Pennine Way Part 2: where I meet up with a chap and we walk a few days together
