Cotswold Way 2014

I walked the Cotswold Way in July and August of 2014.  Before planning my walks for 2014 I had written off the Cotswold Way because images I had seen of it didn’t really inspire me.  Looking back almost 6 years now as I write this, I still have no idea why I had decided to do it (or the Mendip Way that I did right afterward for that matter).  Still, it was an interesting experience, and the only walk where I met some people before starting the walk, saw them a few times during the walk, and farewell’d them after the walk.

I arrived in Chipping Campden (coming from Church Stretton in Shropshire) on Monday the 28th of July 2014.  I checked into my accommodation place who, incidentally, were also handling my baggage transfers for the walk, but somehow, they had misplaced my itinerary, so that will have to be sorted out.  I headed out for a Stilton, leek & walnut pie for dinner, with a cider, of course.  That night I spent in the B&B room reading, writing, showering and organising.  Was I excited for my 8 days on the Cotswold Way?  Not really, but it was still a long-distance walk, so that’s a positive!

Anyway, you can read about any section of my Cotswold Way Walk by clicking on the links below, or just start with the first day and go from there.
