Shropshire Hills 2014

You might well wonder why I returned to Church Stretton, and the surrounding Shropshire hills, a second time.  Interestingly, I’ve returned there during every U.K. walking holiday I have had, and twice in 2019.  For some reason I love the hills there, and I have found them a great “training ground” for tougher LDWs I do in the weeks that follow.  If I chose (or was allowed) to live in England, Church Stretton (or somewhere close by) would be in my top choices.

Read on to discover what day walks I repeated from last year, and what new ones I managed to discover.

Day 1: Where I felt like 11 months had disappeared.

Day 2: During which I visit Cardington for the first time.

Day 3: During which I forged my own trail, out of necessity not desire.

Day 4: Today I found the right way to the Stiperstones, and was cheated out of a cider.

Day 5: In which I went to church for the first time in YEARS (but it's not why you think).
