Shropshire Hills 2014 Day 1
Day 1 Thursday 24th July 2014
The journey to Church Stretton included a
sleepless flight (due to chatty teenagers sitting right behind me), a train to
Victoria Station, the underground to Paddington (where I made it to my next
train with only 5 minutes to spare), and then to Newport (in Wales) to change
trains. Most of the remainder of the
journey I chatted with a 20-year-old Canadian woman. I slowly got back into the holiday vibe, and
by the time I arrived 11 months had melted away and it was if I never left: I
was back just continuing the holiday from last year. After checking into Highcliffe B&B I went
in search of dinner. Maybe you can guess
what it was, if you have read my 2013 Shropshire Hills blog. Yep, fish ‘n’ chips in Rectory Field.
I took no photos today, but here are a couple from around Hazler Hill that will whet ur appetite for what I do tomorrow.
