Echo Walking Festival 2026

Finally I get to experience the Echo Walking Festival - a series of (mostly) walking events from late March to late April around the Bay of Plenty and Coromandel.  I've signed up for 8 of the 44 events and am on the wait list for 3 more.  Some of the events include boat trips, some include cycling, one includes dogs, another includes kayaking.  There is a night event, and an event looking for fungi.  Events run out of Te Puke, Katikati, Waihi Beach, Waihi, Whangamata, Coromandel, Thames, Paeroa, and Te Aroha.  There is something for everyone, so I hope to see you there.

I wanted to participate in the echowalkfest last year, but had back and knee problems and was going through an Activity with Arthritis course as well as recovering from an achilles injury.  Eventually I recovered and was able to return to the strength and endurance I used to have in order to go on another U.K. walking holiday.  I have yet to blog about that recent holiday (I have lots of content) as I am unsure if anyone is interested.  I can see from the limited info provided by the blogger site that I still get views, but I have never had any comments.  If you want more content, please send me some feedback.
