Swanage 2014 Day 1
Monday 11th August 2014
I had just finished the Mendip Way (well, you
could argue that I technically didn’t finish it, but you can read all about
that here) so caught a train to Bournemouth, and then an open-topped double
decker bus to Swanage; Of course, I sat
on the upper level.
At Sandbanks the bus
drove onto a ferry, with the passengers still on it, which was a first for me.
We carried on through Studland and on to
Swanage.
I purchased some supplies, then got fish and chips
and sat beside the sea to consume them.
I went for a short walk around Peveril Point to orient myself and find
the SWCP route so I would be ready for the next few day’s experience.
