Cleveland Way 2018 Day 1
Friday 10th August 2018
I couldn’t get to sleep last night and awoke way too early this morning. I finally left the hostel just before 9 and retraced the start of the Cleveland Way.
After taking the official side-trip from Sutton
Bank for 3km I was a bit disappointed in the Kilburn White Horse, not only because
I was standing right beside it and couldn’t really make it out (you have to be on
an opposite ridge for the best view) but because it is not the best likeness of
a horse.
3km back again to that confusing 3-way sign and I made good time walking the rest of the way to Osmotherley.
The B&B was an old lady’s house with guests staying in her spare room and sharing the bathroom. After a shower I hit a local pub for ciders and seafood pasta.
