South West Coastal Path 2015 Day 6

Sunday 30th August 2015

The first part of the day was a little boring until I hit the river Taw.  My guidebook had said I would be going through Barnestaple, but signage for the route took me over the Taw bridge instead.

What followed was a long straight boring section until I hit Fremington Quay, where I stopped for an underwhelming cream tea at the café.

The path continued straight until some meanderings through the marshes just before Instow.

I had arrived at Instow early (1 p.m.) after only 4 hours of walking, so spend some time reading.  Dinner was steamed mussels.
