Pennine Way Day 15
Saturday 7th September 2019 Byrness
As Robin’s room backed on to mine, I heard his 5:30 alarm (shortly before he left), and then a woman’s alarm an hour later. So much for sleeping in. It was porridge for breakfast, and I was away about 9:20 and powered through the day.
Only 2 photos from today, one near the beginning and one near the end.
3 hours and 54 minutes later I was at Russell’s Cairn (the end of this stage).
I turned off to walk down to the collection point where I had to wait over 2 and a half hours to be collected. During that time, I got rather cold and read until my ride arrived.
Back at the B&B I caught up with some people I had met before – Dave (Graham’s friend), Diana, and a couple that I had passed on day 4 and later saw in the pub in Alston.
