Pennine Way Day 13
Thursday 5th September 2019 Bellingham
I waited on a bench outside the B&B for
Robin to walk by, which he did at 9:30.
We headed off along Hadrian’s Wall, which was not as impressive as I had
imagined it to be, and the section we walked was apparently the best part!

Still there were some impressive views from one elevated section high along the wall.
We diverted slightly at Sycamore Gap, walking away from the wall for a short distance.
Then we left the Hadrian’s Wall path and veered off northward following the Pennine way on its way to Scotland, through lots of wide-open spaces and some pine forest.
We got into Bellingham just before 5 where I headed off to the bunkhouse I had booked (which ended up also being a YHA) and Robin went to find his B&B. We met up at a prechosen pub for dinner. Then it was back to the bunkhouse to have a terrible sleep, so I listened to music half the night.
