Coast to Coast Day 5
Thursday 3rd October 2019 Kirkby Stephen
Today was a fairly low-level walk, mostly across farmland. I also covered my own footsteps by walking a section I had done (albeit in the opposite direction) while doing the Dales High Way, between Sunbiggin and Newbiggin-on-Lune. There were lots of sheep.
I walked the last section into Kirkby Stephen with a German woman who was supposed to be walking the C2C with a, now injured, friend and was out alone doing a short section. I arrived there about mid afternoon.
The hostel is in an old church (I was the only occupant), which was very chilly (and obviously not heated) so, after eating and taking a shower, I crawled under the covers to fall asleep just after 5 p.m.!
