South West Coastal Path 2015 Day 39
Thursday 2nd October 2015
After saying goodbye to the cute hostel woman,
Anna, it was a quick walk over to Seaton.
Here I encountered my first diversion of the day; the walk went inland, away from the waterfront. I encountered another walker, Ian, and we walked together, encountering further long diversions along inland roads. Both the inland walk, and having company, reduced my photo taking to almost nil. We returned to the coastal path on just before coming into Lyme Regis. At a pub, Ian shouted me a cider before heading off to meet up with his wife. As the tide was out, I walked along the beach to Charmouth, where I encountered yet another, long term, diversion.
Back on the path again, it was a tiring climb up and over Golden Cap before I had a self-imposed diversion inland to my B&B on a farm east of Chideock.
It was a wander along the busy main road from the B&B to the
nearest pub for dinner.
