South West Coastal Path 2015 Day 17
Thursday 10th September 2015
The youth hostel was built on a cliff above
the ocean. Consequently, the sound of
the waves crashing throughout the night, the snoring of others, and the
uncomfortable mattress meant for a terrible sleep. I ate yesterday’s lunch for breakfast.
Once on the path, I felt a bit drained,
probably due to the sleepless night.
That's a long way down. |
On to Portreath, but I was not staying there
tonight; I was staying inland at another youth hostel at Illogan. So far, the day’s walk had been short. I stopped at a pub for a cider, then it was
off to Illogan, but I still got to the hostel very early, so sat outside and
read in the afternoon.
