South West Coastal Path 2015 Day 20
Sunday 13th September 2015
A breakfast hamper had been left outside the
caravan for me, containing cereal, juice, and a roll. Very tasty.
An hour into the walk, my shin was killing me. I ended up sitting on a bench nursing it and, eventually, a couple used their phone to call a taxi on my behalf (my phone would not connect for some reason). After 40 minutes of waiting and no taxi, a German couple in a van asked if I needed help, and offered me a ride to Sennan Cove, which I accepted.
The plan was to
then catch a bus or taxi from there to where I was staying for the night,
however, after the rest on the bench and during the ride over, I felt a little
better and saw it wasn’t too far to continue to walk to Porthcurno, which I
did.
Somehow, upon arrival at Porthcurno, I totally
missed the outdoor theatre cut into the cliff.
I sat in a pub icing my shin. A
nice guy in the pub gave me some (very large) ibuprofen pills. Once it was check-in time for the B&B I
headed there.
