Lady Anne's Way 2015 Day 6

Thursday 15^th October 2015

My last day of walking for my 2015 holiday and, at the time, I believed it to be my last day of U.K. walking ever.  After leaving Long Marton, my boots became wet early in the day due to heavy dew, and there was a fair amount of road walking as well.

I arrived at Brougham Hall, stopped for a quick visit and a few photos.

Then it was on to Brougham Castle where I sat for lunch before climbing to the top.  Here are just a handful of the numerous photos I took while there.

It was a quick walk into Penrith where, after getting oriented, I visited the remaining ruins of Penrith castle.

After finding my hostel for the night, I headed into town and caught a movie at the theatre.  Tomorrow would be train rides all the way to Gatwick, where I would stay at a B&B before flying out, heading to New Zealand via a couple of nights in Toronto.
